Hunters Education
Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1973, must complete a hunter education course and have a hunter education safety certificate on file to purchase any hunting license in Wisconsin. However, if they will be hunting under the hunting mentorship program or they have successfully completed and have proof of completing basic training in the U.S. Armed Forces, Reserves or National Guard, they do not need a hunter education safety certificate to purchase a hunting license. We’re proud to co-sponsor hunter safety education courses through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Classes are taught onsite by individual instructors and aim to teach the proper use of firearms and promote safe and ethical hunting.
Concealed Carry Courses
Steve & Debbie Katona run Heart of Wisconsin LLC, Marshfield based certified NRA instructors for basic pistol and Wisconsin concealed carry. If you are interested in pursuing your concealed carry license, contact Steve or Debbie for more information, enroll in the next available class, or with any specific questions.
Sight-in Clinic
It's crucial to sight-in every rifle before each hunt using the ammunition intended for that hunt, particularly rifles with telescopic sights. Even guns that were sighted-in during your last outing could have been knocked out of alignment by a single jolt, potentially impacting your hunt's success.
Snowmobile Safety
To reduce the potential for accidents, injuries, and fatalities; to reduce the potential for conflict between participants, landowners, and other resource users; and to promote safe, responsible, and ethical use of the environment and our resources. Anyone is eligible to take the class and receive a safety education completion certificate.
